En dépit des dangereux conflits mondiaux actuels, rien n'empêche ceux qui jeûnent de se souhaiter mutuellement un joyeux Aïd Moubarak !

على الرغم من الصراعات العالمية الخطيرة الحالية، لا شيء يمنع الصائمين من تهنئة !بعضهم بعضاً بعيد مبارك.

For most practicing Muslims, alas, it's like a dear friend departing, whose moving Taraweeh prayers [3] they cherished and whose delightful presence they will miss. في الخارج، بدأ الصائمون بالتوافد على الباعة الذين يبيعون البوريك وأنواعًا أخرى من الحلويات الشرقية. يوشك شهر رمضان على الانتهاء، مُعلنًا نهاية زيارته السنوية لكوكب الأرض. بالنسبة لمعظم المسلمين الملتزمين، للأسف، يُشبه الأمر فراق صديق عزيز، كانوا يُحبون صلاة التراويح المُؤثرة التي كانوا يُقدّرونها، وسيفتقدون وجوده المُبهج. أما بالنسبة للبعض، فالأمر مُجرد انتهاء واجب ديني...

[1] شطيرة من عجينة الباف باستري محشوة باللحم المفروم والتوابل.

[2] شهر الصيام في الإسلام.

[3] صلاة الكفارة التي تُؤدى في ليالي رمضان.
